Julia & James met at college together, they struct a friendship both being college athletes; James played basketball and Julia played Volleyball which we quickly connected over as my daughter plays competitive volleyball! After getting to know each other through athletics and working together they deiced they made a pretty great team together and started dating. Only to find out about 5 months into their relationship that James was moving across the country to attend business school in Virginia.
Being that I’m sitting here writing this blog post you can probably guess what happened next…
They decided to still go for it, they stayed together and pursed a long distance relationship, visiting each other once a month for almost two years; their friends thought they were crazy.
Leading up to James’s 2020 graduation he purposed to Julia this past spring and they are both living in the same state again. James took a job in Fort Collins & Julia is finishing up her degree at CU Boulder.
We had so much fun at their engagement session. Julia loves light and airy photos with lots of greenery so we chose a location that would accomplish that. From the summer greens to the water to the white barn, 17 mile park in Parker was the perfect fit. We had so much fun at their session, they were so natural, in love and smitten over each other. Which is exactly what an engagement session should be. Don’t stress too much over the thought of photos, and the anxiety that comes with it. Just enjoy the date night all dressed up and let me capture you in your element (my little secret to getting natural, organic photos)
