1. Light and Space: Natural light is a photographer’s best friend. I choose rooms in your home that receive ample natural light, such as the nursery, living room, or master bedroom. Don’t worry if your home is small or not perfectly tidy – I have plenty of tricks to work with any space and make it look beautiful in photos.
2. Outfits and Props: Keep your baby’s outfits simple and comfortable. Neutral colors and soft fabrics work best, allowing your baby to be the focal point. If you have any special props or outfits you’d like to include, feel free to share them with me ahead of time. I also bring along a selection of props and wraps to complement the session. I also offer a client wardrobe for mommas to choose from for the session. This takes a little stress off of planning for a newborn session just after having a baby!
3. Family Participation: In-home sessions provide a wonderful opportunity to capture family interactions. Whether it’s older siblings, grandparents, or furry family members, including loved ones in the photos creates timeless memories. We’ll take a mix of posed and candid shots to ensure a diverse gallery.

Once we have a variety of posed shots, we’ll transition to lifestyle photography, capturing your family’s interactions and everyday moments
3. Flexibility and Patience: Newborns are unpredictable, and that’s perfectly okay. I allocate plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing breaks. My approach is patient and flexible, ensuring that we capture the best moments without any stress or pressure.
