St. Petersburg Beach, Florida Destination Wedding
Celina & Aaron I St. Petersburg, Florida
Celina & Aaron’s wedding day was supposed to go a lot differently. From the moment I met them both last summer in a local Starbucks they were full of energy, life, excited to get married (like all engaged couples are). Telling me all about their engagement at Disney, their Disney 300 guest wedding & so on. They originally planned to get married at a venue here in town and back in February their plans got abruptly changed.
Their venue shut down, when bankrupt. (Brides get wedding insurance now if you don’t have it).
As this is a venue that I shoot at often and where I actually got married 6 years ago the venue coordinator reached out to me and told her their email had been shut off, doors have been locked and they were clueless and they didn’t think clients had been contacted and I should reach out to my upcoming weddings to let me know the heartbreaking news. That couple that is so in love, so excited for their dream wedding. I had to break their heart. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my career as a wedding photographer. Being that they had a June Saturday date it was nearly impossible to find a new venue. So what did they do? Let’s elope in Florida instead! They started planning a smaller scale wedding in the land of Disney & micky mouse and it was just about perfect. We all packed out bags and headed out to the sunny beaches of St. Petersburg, Florida!
As we all know of the elephant in the room- Covid hit shortly after they rerouted all of their plans, however their timing ended up being just about perfect and they still got to have their perfect wedding day with their closet friends and family.
From the moment I arrived in Florida, I started running into them everywhere as our hotels neighbored eachother. That magic in their eye was back. It was their wedding week & they were getting married in paradise. After a long few months of stressful wedding plans, being quarantined instead of bridal showers and bachelorette parties their day was finally here and nothing was going to take that spark away.
It was worth the wait. As Celina came down that beach isle, Aaron about fell to his knees she was such a beautiful princess bride between a stunning gown, tiara and long flowing princess Jasmine hair. I’ll let the rest of the photos speak for themself. Thank you so much, Celina & Aaron for brining me to Florida, into your wedding day, your lives and your hearts.
